As a roofing contractor, I am always looking for new ways to improving my residential roofing product line. A new product from Owens Corning named “SureNail®” caught my eye. The new roofing shingle technology uses cloth, and it holds the shingle to the roof more than the average shingle! The cloth is inserted along the nailing zone of the shingle. After this is inserted, it adds an extra layer of protection to keep the nail in place and prevent weather from ripping your shingles off.

Our Tru-Bond® sealant grips tightly to the nailing strip on the shingle below for greater bonding strength. Duration Premium roofing shingles with SureNail Technology are rated for 130-MPH* winds, and Duration shingles with SureNail Technology are rated for up to 110-MPH* winds.
SURENAIL® WIDER NAILING AREA
New, wider nailing area allows for an improved and consistent installation.
EXTRA ADHESIVE POWER
Specially formulated, extra-wide adhesive bands help keep shingle layers laminated together in virtually all weather conditions.
